Demi Lovato "EAT ME" REACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@elin6585

This song is basically about Cry Baby no longer caring whether she's with a guy or not because of earlier bad experiences (carousel, soap and training wheels) but wanting to break them up for fun (the note saying "Do you want to play?" and the quote β€œNot out of love, just played a game” from the pacify her page of her coloring book), I think the boy being literally blue is a play on the nursery rhyme little blue boy, the blonde girl is also played by Melanie herself which I find really interesting:)

@DxrlingsDead

I'm really enjoying the marathon! I LOVE Melanie Martinez alot. I'm kinda obsessed lol. When you guys end the marathon, i really recommend reacting to K-12 and the movie. They're also really good and all have good messages especially to younger (Teen) audiences. Again, really enjoying this. πŸ˜€

@stevenanderson8206

Omg y’all are finally doing Melanie😩

@lynn4840

i think something to keep in mind is that Melanie uses metaphors in more than just her lyrics: the visuals are also meant to be metaphorical, to some extent.

i think that making the setting a play pen is meant to symbolize how childish this whole scenario is. she writes another song in her second album with the same general idea. women are often pitted against each other for a variety of reasons -- recognition for one's skills/appearance/intelligence, the attention of romantic interests, etc. but is there really any need for this?

in terms of romantic relationships, the whole concept of a "homewrecker" is born of this idea a lot of women have where, if their boyfriend/husband/etc. cheats, it's the other woman's fault. in reality, if someone was able to come in and "wreck your home" so to speak, it's because someone left the door open. cheating is ALWAYS the cheater's fault, ultimately, because if someone truly cared about being faithful, it wouldn't matter what the other woman did.

in the end, women should be doing everything they can to lift other women up. that's supposed to be the general message of the song, i think -- it's far too easy for women to fall into this trap of internalized misogyny, and it's important for them to be self-aware enough to catch themselves when they fall into this mentality, and how that affects their behavior. the fact that this message is pretty hard to grasp in comparison to the metaphors in her other songs shows just how easy it is to take this kind of thing at face value.

anyway i'm done rambling, sorry lol. great reaction, i always appreciate hearing your thoughts!

@sweetnightmare6032

im loving the Melanie marathon! and Madison is so smart she always gets the songs right β™₯

@drummerchick1414

K-12 is next and it's really good. The movie is her high school years and gives great concepts and visuals! I strongly recommend!

@kristinamay7434

In another context, it's Melanie as the basic b*, and saying to herself internally to get rid of this blonde personality because she really wants to be the Melanie that is a bit more two toned hair Melanie. She wants to appeal to blue boy's interest in her this way. Love the reviews!

@sonete7206

loved the marathon!!! I grew up listening to melanie and i still feel so understood (probably the reason i do therapy lol). Anyways, my point is, even tho you didnt really passed through exactly what the lyrics are talking about, you can relate somehow to something she sings, 'cause they are social problems, mostly among teens. I love how she can bring all of this inside the "baby/child" theme going on. It takes a lot of talent, effort and work. Truly amazing. You should do a marathon for K-12, her next album, because is the cry baby in High School. I think her lyrics got more mature, like her. Its really good and worthwhile.
Great Marathon, your daughter is really cool. You should be proud.
see yaa, xoxo

@Adrain30

Dad can't be this dumb can he? in stead of trying to make jokes just listen to the lyrics. Your daughter is listening and getting it.

@bammmitsrachel

I STILL don't understand the blue boy. We also see a blue boy in the K-12 film. I'm not sure what it represents. Also, her bad judgement in this stems from no one showing to her party. That no one wants her. Since this blue boy shows interest, she's taking what she can get even if it means being a homewrecker. Since this is the first video where we see her black eyes/super powers, I think this came out after her kidnapping. It shows how trauma can change us.

@Kay-yz6ok

Love your videos 🧑 please react to Demi Lovatos - Substance πŸ™πŸ™

@Lalaoceanne

ayeee my favorite one out of the album!

@mikepiccione886

Hey now that you said it you have to do it K through 12 the movie

@Griffon77

Hopefully K-12 reactions. Wheels on the bus, Show and tell and Detention are really good.

@rachelharrison7961

She’s in a crib, to play with the theme. But it’s also a β€œcrib” as in slang for a home like the MTV show β€œCribs”. Also, the skimpily dressed Melanie is the narrator, but the other Melanies are playing characters and dressed more modestly.

@lbbmood

Cry Baby isn't literally growing up as the album progress its more so the story of her birth and early childhood and the experiences she goes through before finding her true confidence. Her next album continues the story of Cry Baby's growth and we actually do see her grow track back track as she goes from kindergarten through twelve grade

@johannes04

When you guys are finished with Melanie Martinez cry baby album, can you react to Adele set fire to the rain live at royal albert hall?:)

@im_megeloo

This Is The Story Of The Album

Crybaby: Basically Introducing Crybaby

Dollhouse: Going Into Crybabys Family Life More

Sippycup: Diving Into The Mom And Dads Conflicting Relationship

Carousel: It Wasnt A flash Back To Her Mom It Was Crybabys First Love

Alphabet Boy: Yall Actually Got What It Was About

Soap/Training: Wheels Her 2nd Love Soap Is About How she Wants To Tell Him She Loves Him But She Feels Like Shes Going To Say To Much So Shes Basically Washing Her Mouth Out With Soap Training Wheels Dives Into There Relationship The Bike Resembles There Love And Training Wheels Means That They Arent In A serious Relationship But By Taking The Training Wheels Of There Getting More Serious And By Them Falling Off The Bike Resembles there Relationship Failing

Pity Party: Basically No One Shows Up To Her Birthday Party

Tag youre it/ Milk And Cookies: The Wolf Is A Predator Who Kidnappes Crybaby in Milk and Cookies she Poisons The Wolf Killing Him So She Can Escape

Pacify Her: The Tag youre it/ Milk Amd Cookies Thing Made Her Crazy I Guess So Shes Not In It For Love Anymore she just wants to play with people

Mrs Potato Head: Crybaby Not Accepting Herself

Mad Hatter: So Basically Crybaby Has Powers And There Not Really Strong Because She Hasn’t Accepted Herself But In That Song She Accepted That Shes Different And Thats Okay So Her Powers Gets Stronger (When Ever Her Eyes Goes Blavk Thats Her Powers Turning on)

A cool little thing about this song - Pacify Her meaning keep her quiet, and how do you keep a baby quiet? a pacifier, which sounds like 'pacify-her'. Love these reactions so much!

@polarbianarchy3333

Thanks 😁
Speaking of K through 12

@marcocortesguzman4949
